“The Blues Babe Foundation is for kids like me that came from north Philadelphia” said Jill. “It’s considered the bottom, but there are smart kids there that can’t afford to go to school. There are kids with great grades who are able to pay for part of their tuition via student loans or whatever the case may be, but they can’t afford transportation, or they can’t afford dorm fees, or they can’t afford food vouchers. We assist them, help them along.”
