Paul has always been acutely aware that music can be a powerful tool in raising awareness and vital funds for good causes and that his music in particular has a unique way of reaching out to people, inspiring and encouraging them to make a difference. Paul has donated and contributed to numerous charitable projects and performed at some of the most groundbreaking and historic benefit concerts over the years, helping to raise billions for charity.

“if slaughterhouses had glass walls, everyone would be a vegetarian,” Paul said, shortly before launching his meat free Monday campaign in 2009 with Mary and Stella McCartney. Meat free Monday is a not-for-profit campaign that raises awareness of the detrimental environmental impact of eating meat, and encourages people to help slow climate change, preserve precious natural resources and improve their health by having at least one meat free day each week.
