Making Impacts
One Artist at a Time

Maverick Management was modeled on the basic concept that managers can help other managers and artists can help other artists, and a more cohesive, collaborative management entity is better equipped to succeed. Maverick is a collective — greater than the sum of its parts — with the singular goal of helping our artists reach their fullest potential.

This is why we launched Maverick Impact.

Our artists have championed extraordinary initiatives from funding disease prevention and grassroots education movements, to rebuilding communities hit by natural disasters. Maverick Impact continues to guide their vision, tell their stories and support their work.

Health.

U2’s philanthropic track record is unmatched. U2’s bono is also a well-known activist in the fight against aids and extreme poverty in Africa.

CAPA Fund

Local.

Growing up, the founding members of The Roots attended a creative arts school in west Philadelphia called CAPA, and through a generous donation helped set up the CAPA foundation, where they now sit on the board.

Janie’s Fund

Health.

The mission is to provide help and healing for the nation’s most abused and neglected girls... And their after care once they reach 18 yrs old and are no longer eligible for foster care.

Shania Kids Can

Education.

Shania Kids Can provides services that promote positive change in children's lives in time of crises and economic hardship. We work with elementary schools throughout North America to deliver wrap around services that provide all-inclusive support and stability by qualified professionals to the most vulnerable children.

Ricky Martin Foundation

International.

The Ricky Martin Foundation was launched in 2004 and has been a leading voice in denouncing and exposing human trafficking globally.

Reba’s Ranch House

Local.

Reba McEntire, often referred to as “the Queen of Country,” has become a household name through a successful career that spans across music, television, film, theatre and retail. The multiple Grammy® winning entertainer is a member of the country music hall of fame and Grand ole Opry.

Our Team

Molly DeWolf Swenson Chief Impact Officer

Molly has spent her career at the intersection of media, technology and social impact. Prior to Maverick, she co-founded RYOT (sold to HuffPost in 2016), and worked at the White House in the Obama Administration. She is an Emmy-winning documentary film producer and was named to Forbes 30 Under 30 in Media.

Katherine Keating Chief Sustainability and Strategy Officer

Katherine Keating is responsible for advancing Maverick’s strategic focus on advocacy, philanthropy, and sustainability. For the past three years Katherine has been with VICE Media, as the founding publisher of VICE Impact, where she oversaw all aspects of VICE’s advocacy efforts. Additionally, she sits on the Berggruen Institute’s 21st Century Council as a New Leader, was appointed to the Ambassador Council of the International Crisis Group, she sits on Global Citizen’s Mandela 100 Advisory Committee, and serves as vice-chair of the Whitney Museum’s Performance Committee. Keating is a contributing editor to The World Post, and previously worked as a policy advisor for the New South Wales Government, Australia.

Gabriella Barsocchini Head of Development

Gabriella joins Maverick as Head of Development, focusing on Maverick’s advocacy, philanthropy, impact and sustainability strategy. Gabriella previously worked at VICE leading development for their advocacy channel, VICE Impact. During her time at VICE she worked with brands, non-profits and foundations to build campaigns and content partnerships around global issues including water conservation, climate change, immigration rights, the opioid crisis, and voter participation.

Alexis Chemblette Head of Policy and Research

Alexis is a seasoned policy expert and international affairs professional with a strong interest in sustainability and impact investments. He previously served as policy director of VICE Media and as an analyst at the European Commission. He has also reported for a number of leading publications including Adweek and VICE Magazine.
